There were no recruiting violations, the violations were based upon an accoutant giving players pell grants once they were already in the program. The accoutant falsified documents containing financial situations for each players family. The money was given to the players and the players took the money and lived it up.
The rest of the violations were for players recieving funds from celebrities/rappers(Luther Campbell) for making big plays and big hits during games. It was basically reward money for playing good. Kids from miami were generally broke so they would oblige even though they shouldnt have.
Last there was a charge of what was called "lack of institutional control" basically where so many players had been arrested and then I think Erickson hid drug tests to make sure certain players would remain elgible.
It had nothing to do with recruiting, recruiting violations and had nothing to do with any administration other than the Erickson administration.
